If I am hosting assay3 on my own server does any data get transmitted across the internet?

Unless you have subscribed to insights, the only data that is transmitted across the internet is maintenance and usage data (no personally identifying data is sent). This includes when the files were last uploaded and processed to help us ensure that all services are running as they should.

If you have subscribed to insights the content of the email is sent to my server and then sent onto your email from there. Once the email is sent this data is removed from my server.

How are passwords stored in your system?

All passwords are stored using a blowfish algorithm that cannot be reversed.
